Conference Nuggets!

I was at a leadership conference the beginning of the week at Adventure Church.  It was a wonderful time of fellowship & instruction.  The speaker was Daniel Henderson from Strategic Renewal.  He taught on  the importance of becoming a “Praying Church” instead of just a church that prays.

It was an excellent message broken into 3 sessions:
  1) Keys to Unlocking a Prayer Culture at Your Church
  2) Wake Up & Pray (Prayer should not be boring…
  3) A Fresh Encounter (Where we experienced Scripture-fed, Spirit-led, Worship-based Prayer).

Now,  I’m not about to get into all that he spoke on, as he was throwing out nugget after nugget.  But I would like to just list a few of the side note, one liners I took during his messages.
1)    Prayerlessness Is My In-Dependence From God!
2)    There's A Difference Between Seeking Revival From God
       & Seeking God For Revival!
3) The Comfort Zone Is The Danger Zone!
4) The Reason Most People Don’t Go To Prayer Meetings At Your Church, Is Because They’ve Been To Prayer Meetings At Your Church!
5) Get Rid Of Your Weapons of Mass Distraction…
Because They Will Turn Into Mass Destruction!
6)    The Power of NO is a Stronger YES!
7)    We Need Inspiration Over Imitation!

The list could go on.  But I want to give you real quick, the 3 keys to Creative Prayer:
1)    Pray TO a Creative GOD!
(God is a Creative God & therefore it should bring about an expectation)
2)    Pray FROM The Creative WORD!
( Prayer is a conversation…So, who’s starting your conversation)
3) Pray BY The Creative SPIRIT!
1 Corinthians 2:10-12 10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. 11 No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
Romans 8:26-27 26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit
pleads for us believers
in harmony with God’s own will.
